Cape Coral Hospital has won several awards for excellence.
Cape Coral Hospital has been ranked in the 100 best hospitals by the Healthgrades website for gastroenterology. It was placed 18th overall.
Healthgrades analyzed clinical outcomes for colorectal surgeries, gastrointestinal bleeds and other conditions for the rankings.
It was also named among the top hospitals in the country for cranial neurosurgery and for critical care.
The 2020 evaluation of hospitals across the nation analyzes the performance of nearly 4,500 hospitals as measured by risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates.
“The evaluation illustrates the importance of transparency of hospital quality ratings as well as the need for continuous quality improvement,” says the report.
This analysis identifies the top-performing hospitals — namely those where outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected.
Healthgrades is dedicated to empowering stronger and more meaningful connections between patients and their healthcare providers.
In addition, Cape Coral Hospital has received the FHA Mission to Care Chasing Zero Award. This is for outstanding work completed to reduce patient harm & readmissions.
The award is given for achieving significant reductions in hospital-acquired infections, resulting in some of the lowest rates in the project.
