Park design input is wanted for Cape Coral’s new parks.

The GO Bond Public Input Workshops for Community Parks run from Tuesday October 8-Thursday October 10.

The aim is to gather community input on the designs of four community parks. They will be built throughout the city as part of the Parks GO Bond.

The first round of public input meetings will take place on:

  • Tuesday, October 8 – Park Topic: Lake Kennedy Racquet Club
  • Wednesday, October 9 – Park Topic: Festival Park & Yellow Fever Creek Preserve
  • Thursday, October 10 – Park Topic: Yacht Club Community Park

Second round meetings where park design input is wanted will be held on November 14 & 16 and also December 3.

Each meeting is taking place at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. It will be an open house with details on how to participate in the design process. The public can arrive anytime from 6-8 p.m.

The workshops are a chance for interested members of the public to review and comment on the community park concept plans.

Firstly, the design consultant will refine the park concepts based on feedback from the first public input meeting. They will also present the refined concepts at the second round of meetings.

Residents are asked to attend one of these meetings and/or submit comments in the Public Input area of the GO Bond website. This will be shared with the firm contracted to design and build the new parks.
