US housing total is up by 1.2million, according to the latest figures.

The nation’s housing stock reached 138.5 million between 2017 and 2018, says U.S. Census figures. The growth rate of 0.8% is the same as the previous year.

Florida saw the second highest gains of any state at 108,000.

The nation’s housing stock increased by 6.8 million units (5.2%) since April 1, 2010.

Twelve states added more than 150,000 housing units between April 1, 2010, and July 1, 2018. Florida is third with 558,000.
